I graduated from National University of Singapore, majoring in Life Sciences. I also took a minor in Artificial Intelligence. I am honoured to have obtained a degree classification of Honours (Highest Distinction). Throughout my undergraduate journey, I am fortunate to have garnered multiple research expriences that cemented my resolve to pursue a Ph.D degree at EPFL.
I will be joining EPFL for my PhD journey this coming september, 2021. I am glad to be back to EPFL after my student exchange programme ended early in 2020 due to unforeseen circumstances. My project involves modelling the retinal system under the co-supervision of Professor Diego Ghezzi and Professor Christophe Moser.
I am honoured to be a recipient of the A*STAR Undergraduate Scholarship, which was awarded to young aspiring scientific talent pursuing their passion in science. This allowed me to focus on my studies and joined different laboratories, enriching my view on neuroscience researches. I was also on the Dean's list for AY 18/19 semester one and AY 20/21 semester two, which encouraged me to work even harder for my academics.
In additon, I am recently awarded the National University of Singapore Overseas Graduate Scholarship (NUS-OGS) I am humbled to receive this scholarship. The NUS-OGS is an effort by NUS to nurture high calibre local talents for a career in academia. After my Ph.D I will be expected to come back to NUS to fulfill my bond.

I like to watch anime when I have free time. I also love science related movies like 'The Theory of Everything', 'The Imitation Game', 'A Beautiful Mind' just to name a few. Other than that, I like to spend time outside with my friends and going for impromptu supper outings.
